A good hair makes your day while bad hair breaks it.. not really but we all love to sport a stylish look everyday, look our best, isn’t it!! And a nice hair style plays an important part in how you look. You visit your local salon for a haircut mostly right, I did too. Last year I tried another place for a haircut, it was very hyped and price was too steep, at the end I felt my local salon did a better job. So I am very skeptical when it comes to haircuts and don’t try to experiment much.
I recently won a Lakme Salon Gift card from a contest hosted by a blogger friend of mine Shilpa of OurExternalWorld blog. I really wanted to try a haircut over there, as she got an amazing hairstyle done and I have seen others, who have as well. But in the back of my mind it was always like, will it be pricey. I thought to go ahead and check it out. 5 years since I am in Bangalore, I have got ok ok haircuts, nothing which made me feel like.. ‘I am looking wow!’ So I thought let me see one more time, if this goes same way I will again come back to my local parlor.
I went to the Lakme Salon at Phoenix Mall (Bangalore) and finally got ready to have my hair cut and styled. I just went through their Menu while waiting few mins. I was shocked to see the price, its almost near to the price at my local parlor. I was expecting very high price, I had preconceived notions.. big brand, big price n all. It was very reasonable and I saw many women visiting it. Next comes the hair cut part. Ok normally when I go to parlor, I leave it to the experts that ‘Pls do any style which will look good on me’. After all they are professionals and will have better idea than me. So their Senior Stylist did my haircut. And the price was Rs.750 + taxes. They did wash my hair first and then cut it. It took about 30-40 mins. And at the end I absolutely loved how I look. And hubby felt the hairstyle looked great on me. So Yay!! I really loved their service and the best part was the hair style I am sporting now. It changed how I look, I am feeling ‘Wow! I am looking not bad’ (trying to be humble 🙂 ) And gift card or no, next time I am going there for my haircut. One deserves to look pretty and stylish, isn’t it.
