Do you love when 1 product can do multi-tasking. I do, fore sure! And its perfect for trips and vacation, you bring one makeup product which can do various functions. So today I will review such an unique product which not only performs job of 2 or 3 but 5 different product, which is Julep Cushion Complexion!!
When I learned about the product 2 features intrigued me, one was the 5-in-1 Skin perfector feature and other was it is infused with Turmeric. And being from India I know the benefits turmeric have on skin. We use turmeric for many home made skin care masks. So I couldn’t wait to try it.
This multitasking skin perfector has a natural, demi-matte finish with buildable medium-to-full coverage that conceals, corrects, illuminates, blurs & brightens. So these are the 5 tasks it performs. And I will share how it performed in all these areas.
Nude 200 – Medium Nude with Cool Undertone
Cashmere 210 – Medium Cashmere with Cool Undertone
Sand 220 – Medium Sand with Neutral Undertone
Beige 230 – Medium Beige with Warm Undertone
Camel 240 – Medium Camel with Warm Undertone
The shade closest to my skintone was Camel and I also used Cashmere for Highlighting and Concealing.
The packaging of the product is very sleek and high quality. Looks like a high end makeup product. I love the fact that you can see the shade from outside as well, very convenient for pick and go when you are in a hurry.
It comes with a convenient cushion tip applicator allows for easy and precise application, even on the go. You can use it to spot correct and conceal, or all over as a foundation. As with any other product where you have to twist to get the product on the applicator, for first time the twisting is bit more. Later on with less twists you can get the product out.
How to Use :
1. First I used the shade Camel as my foundation. I applied the product all over my face & neck. Then I blended it with my finger tips, with a dabbing motion. They advertise the product that it blends nicely with fingers, so I chose to do the same. And it did blended nicely with only fingers, so makes it great for everyday use or while traveling.
It is said to also add a blur effect, means you don’t need a primer separately. So I didn’t use primer before applying the product. And I did note it made my skin look smooth and pores looked smaller.
2. Then I used the shade Cashmere to Conceal, Correct my under-eyes & highlight as well. The shade was little brighter than Camel was perfect for that. And again I blended with my fingers with gentle dabbing motion. It gave me a medium coverage in concealing and highlighted very well.
1. Turmeric Extract : It provided long term brightening benefits and anti-inflammatory properties. We Indians use turmeric in everything, starting from food to medicine to skin care & in many home remedies.
2. Camellie Seed Oil : Contains skin-calming properties and provides nourishing & moisturizing benefits. (Sourced from Jeju Island, South Korea)
3.Soft-Focus Powders : Blur the look of fine lines & imperfections while creating a smooth, demi-matte finish that’s never flat.
So that’s how it looks once I have blended everything nicely. It stayed on for a decent amount of time without fading. The only place it faded was on my eyelids, since they get oily. Rest of my face looked the same even after 5-6 hours. And my T zone didn’t get oily too as it gets normally.
Overall a great product with so many great features. Definitely try it today!!
